Field searching
Since database information is organized into fields, you may want to try to use them in order to retrieve more specific results. Some examples of fields are Author, Title, Volume Number, Abstract, Date, Access Number. Many databases allow you to go into an "Advanced Search" screen. That means that you have several boxes where you can fill out search terms. In addition, these boxes are often accompanied by drop down menus when if opened show you what fields you can choose.
