"The unexamined life is not worth living for human beings." -Socrates

Live the examined life. If you are eligible for the University Honors Program, you will join a group of outstanding students who examine the most significant ideas of our common cultural heritage. The program fosters intellectual development through academic challenge. A structured sequence of colloquia and seminars helps you develop critical thinking abilities essential to a reflective, active and creative life.

The Honors Program fosters intellectual growth by helping you acquire the breadth and depth of knowledge that is the hallmark of a liberally educated person. Graduates of the University Honors Program are in high demand because they possess the knowledge and intellectual skills required to confront the problems and issues of contemporary society. After successful completion of the University Honors Program, many students continue their studies in law, medicine, and in graduate programs in the humanities, communication and behavioral sciences.

To apply for the Honors Program, click on "Application and Admission" below.  That link will take you to the application form, which you must download, fill out and email to the Honors Program office.  This application is separate from, and in addition to, the Seton Hall University application.
