Welcome to Pre-Law Advising at Seton Hall University!

Greetings from the Office of Pre-Law Advising at Seton Hall University! This site is a guide to those considering a career in law. Each section contains basic information from the Office of Pre-Law Advising on the law school admissions process, careers in law, and the array of services available to a Seton Hall University student or alumnus. Once you have explored the information contained in this site, you can make an appointment with the Pre-Law Advisor for one-on-one advising.

The Office of Pre-Law Advising is part of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) in Arts and Sciences Hall. It boasts pamphlets, magazines, applications packets for various law schools, and information on law-related activities both inside and outside Seton Hall University. This collection is open to browsers, but cannot leave the ARC. It is a good place to continue your inquiry into a legal career. In addition, the Pre-Law Program has a number of books on law schools, the law school applications process, and Law School Admission Test preparation materials on reserve in the library under the heading, "Pre-Law Advising."

To make an appointment with the Pre-Law Advisor, please e-mail Professor Robert Pallitto, the Pre-Law Advisor, at pallitro@shu.edu, call 973-275-2868, or stop by the ARC during regular hours. Keep in mind that the answers to your questions may be found in this website, the internet, or in one of the information sessions during the year. As with any other enterprise, the better your preparation, the more helpful the Office of Pre-Law Advising can be.

In addition, the faculty of Seton Hall University is a terrific resource. Do not be afraid to ask them about their experiences and learn more about careers in the law. You should also familiarize yourself with the Career Center in Bayley Hall. Click here to visit their web site. They have a great deal of information about applying for law-related jobs over the summer through Seton Hall University's extensive alumni network.

Enjoy your search for a rewarding career in the law! Hazard zet Forward
