Gender and development studies department is the one in college of social science and the humanities, which has a short history of the foundation. It was founded under the department of social anthropology in 2013. Despite the department has a short history of the foundation; It is contributing a lot for the development of a country in producing qualified gender expertise, research and development, and community engagement. The department contributes to the sustainable socio-cultural and economic development of the nation through the provision of societal needs, tailored education, undertaken problem based research on gender related issues. The Department launched the MA Degree in Gender and Development Studies in Regular, extension and a summer program in 2017. |
