Introduction This is an interdisciplinary social science Master Program focusing on problems of poverty and human development. The aim of the MDS is to offer a combination of background theoretical knowledge and concrete skills to understand asses and work in development- related fields. Students will acquire a critical social science approach which prepares them to make contributions to sustainable human development in a role such as policy makers, trainers or practitioners in government agencies, private firms and NGOs. Programme Objectives The program institutionalizes a dynamic and strategic vision to provide an interdisciplinary, advanced, research-based and practical education in the contemporary world of development.
